Enjoy summer
The Gitschberg area has something for everyone, from easy hikes that even children will love to challenging summit climbs for adults… as well as over 30 Alpine huts for a stopover and the most fantastic scenery with over 500 mountain peaks. You can set off on foot straight from our farm or take the Gitschberg-Nesselbahn cable car (5 minutes’ walk).
Relish winter
Our holiday apartments are located right next to the ski slope of the family-friendly Gitschberg Jochtal ski resort – there’s no better base for filling your days with skiing and tobogganing, winter walking, snowball fighting and building snowmen. It’s going to be an amazing winter holiday!
Villages and towns
If you fancy an “urban” stroll, the village of Mühlbach and the towns of Brixen and Bruneck are all within easy reach. Visit a museum, find the perfect souvenir and explore the historical old towns!
Swimming and splashing around
The perfect place for a dip with your kids? Alpinpool in Meransen! This pool centre has a well-heated indoor pool, a dedicated children’s area and several features for playing and splashing around. There’s also a sunbathing lawn for basking on those hot summer days, and you can use your complimentary Almencard to get a discount on admission.
Travel for free, with the Almencard guest card
As our guests, you will receive your complimentary Almencard by e-mail. Use it to enjoy unlimited free travel on public transport across South Tyrol (including buses, regional trains and selected lift facilities) for the duration of your stay. With your card, you can also use the Gitschberg-Nesselbahn gondola in Meransen and the Jochtalbahn lift in Vals for free during limited periods in summer and autumn.
